Ambassador Andrew Visits 'Kids Saving the Rainforest' in Quepos

“What you do to protect the rainforest is an example to the world.¨ With these words U.S. Ambassador Anne S. Andrew recognized the work that youth involved in the organization ,‘Kids Saving the Rainforest’ do in Manuel Antonio, Quepos, during her recent visit to the area.
In a tweet shared with her twitter followers, Ambassador Andrew wrote, “I am impressed by the success of 'Kids Saving the Rainforest.' Outreach builds communities of interest across borders and preserves biodiversity in Costa Rica.” During this trip, Ambassador Andrew met with local entrepreneurs, American citizens, prosecutors, representatives from the local government, the Costa Rican Coast Guard, members of the Chamber of Commerce, advisors from the Ministry of Public Education and youth in the region. Ambassador Andrew shared her vision and discussed issues related to environmental conservation, citizen security and commerce.
